Looks like the US Embassy is ready to throw in their support behind the Cameroon Film Festival (CAMIFF) 2017.
CEO and founder of the cultural festival, Agbor Gilbert Ebot was spotted shaking hands with a rep for the US Ambassador to Cameroon, Michael S. Hoza in Yaounde after an alleged successful meeting and discussions about the annual arts and cultural festival.
Although details of the meeting is yet to be disclosed by both parties, Agbor Gilbert has been touring the world scouting for support and sponsorship for the next year’s movie event.
CAMIFF is a festival which brings together film makers from around the world into Cameroon to celebrate, promote and recognize the films industries across the world; throwing much attention on films made in Cameroon by Cameroonian film makers as well.
During the 2016 edition, Gilbert brought top actors from India, Ghana and Nollywood including Ramseh Noah Jr., Moses Iwang, Prince Afam (Late), Frank Rajah, Okawa Shawznay and so many others to help with the growth of the Cameroon Film Industry.
“Next year, we want to go even bigger,” says Gilbert.
