Sama Ndango slams Avance Media’s List of 2016 Most Influential Young Cameroonians
Sama Ndango is sick and tired of the numerous and “meaningless” award ceremonies in Cameroon entertainment business.
The singer and performer claims most of the award shows have lost their values as they repeatedly recognize those who have done little or nothing in influencing showbiz in Cameroon and by so doing, fail to appreciate those who work extremely hard to change the game.
Ndango, also known as Mr. Fix It took to his Facebook account on December 6, to pass on his observation:
“This our industry sef, I think it’s time to start acting professional. You come up with a list of influential Cameroonians??? Which committee decided? Is it a JOKE? Worst of all, I see people promoting themselves to be voted for??? Most of you want to be recognized but are not working hard or building brands.
Whoever is organizing it, THIS is 2017, you should ask the public to nominate instead of imposing. You be Cameroon Government? We have soo many beer palour AWARDS going on. It’s a shame. We need a well structured entertainment industry which creates brands. Whoever is seeking recognition should create a platform first. NONSENSE!!! Mr. FixIt don talk!!”
The fashion forward singer’s rant comes almost a week after Avance Media – Africa’s leading media and public relations agency – published their exclusive “2016 50 Most Influential Young Cameroonians” list .
Ndango who wasn’t included in the list felt some if not most , of the nominees were not worthy to feature on the list.
However, some of the nominees include, Chruchill Mambe Nanje, Happi Pamela, Banki Kiki, Sandrah Fon Defu, Magasco, Stanley Enow, Wax Nde, Okawa Shawznay and many more.
