Salatiel snubbed at Canal D’or Awards 2017
Given the fact that he is responsible for some of the biggest hits of 2016/17, it came as a huge shock that singer, songwriter and producer, Salatiel missed out on the list of nomination for this year’s Canal D’or Awards. What happened?
There has been no ‘proper’ explanation as to why the Buea-based musician was not nominated for Cameroon’s biggest music event this year but fans haven’t stopped slamming the organizers for the mishap.
“I’m devastated and completely shocked that Salatiel wasn’t nominated for the Canal D’or Awards this year. It’s unbelievable! Chai!” a fan writes on Twitter.
“Salatiel wasn’t nominated!!!??? So who else got nominated???” Another wrote on Facebook.
“If Salatiel wasn’t nominated then it’s true that Canal D’or is a worthless award. An award with no credibility,” another says on Facebook.
A close source to the “Toi et Moi” singer tells us, Salatiel is also very perplexed about the situation but is keeping calm and going on with his plans for this year.
“He has a tour de Europe this March and he’s preparing for it seriously. This situation will not stop his own music plans,” the sources reveals to us.
However, the producer’s signed artist Mr. Leo picked up the award for ‘Best Male in Urban Music’ and lost out the ‘Revelation of the Year’ to Locko.
