CAMIFF 2017 to hold in Buea despite no internet
The Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF) 2017 will go on as planned despite the lack of internet and continuous social unrest in the South West Region.
The popular film fiesta is scheduled to hold at the beautiful Mountain Hotel in Buea on April 19 β April 24.
Agbor Gilbert Ebot, founder of the film festival tells us nothing has changed with the plans and heβs looking forward to a great and interactive event.
“CAMIFF is on April 19 -24th,” Agbor Gilbert confirms to DCODED TV.
The festival celebrates Cameroon film, arts and culture and has no reason to stop or postpone the event. CAMIFF is about finding better ways of marketing and promoting Cameroon films in and out the country.
The event hopes to bring together stars from Nollywood, Bollywood and why not Hollywood to share ideas with their counterparts in Cameroon.
It promises interactive activities for their guests including a bus tour, multiple movie premiers and film workshops.
In 2015, CAMIFF hosted Nollywood super stars Ramsey Nuoah Jr., Moses Iwang, Frank Rajah, Afam the Director (of late) and top Cameroon and Indian films makers as well.
