Christian Steve Bernard Fonkam has been named the new goodwill ambassador for the Wholesome Health Promotion (WHP).
The Cameroonian based On Air Personality with Sweet FM, Douala was selected to represent the organisation in Cameroon in order to raise awareness on the importance of good health and food safety among the youths especially in the rural communities and marginalized regions.
“Many among us out there are zealous without the knowledge on how to practice food safety. Recent statistics show that about 600 million people around the globe fall sick yearly due to consumption of contaminated food and a greater number in Africa…Cameroon is also concerned,” the new goodwill ambassador shares with us exclusively.
“Even though it seems to elude the consciousness of most young Cameroonians ( the future of this country) that we are to eat right, our lives greatly depend on our health. We need the Cameroonian youths in particular to be in good health, so they could truly be and bring the change that they/we Cameroonians would love to see,” Christian adds.
The new WHP Ambassador will be going LIVE on Facebook on Sunday May 27 to throw more light on his new mission.
He will also organize his first workshop at the Etta Palace Hotel in Buea that same day as from 9:00 AM.
