Stanley Enow challenges Nigerian music makers, says Cameroon “will soon take over”
Leave it to Stanley Enow to air out his opinion wherever, whenever and to whoever who cares to listen. Well this time around, everyone around the world is listening and sharing their thoughts on social media on his recent about Cameroon music taking over Africa sooner than expected.
The Cameroonian hip hop artist sparks a major continental debate on February 21 after his interview with Pulse TV Nigeria on the growth and future of Cameroon music went viral.
In the just released interview with Pulse TV, Stanley Enow says that despite his deep appreciation, love and respect for the movers and shakers of the Nigerian music industry, he strongly believes that Cameroonian music is about to take over Africa.
Despite his considerably patriotic comments, some Cameroonians have joined other Nigerians to slender the MAMA Awards winner on social media for his aforementioned comments. While some Nigerians suggested that Cameroon is only known for football and pepper production, others said the only think Cameroon is good at taking over is the Bakassi Peninsular…. And some Cameroonians joined them.
“Who sent him ehh?” one Cameroonian asked on Facebook. Another added, “Uncle Stanley pls come back let’s be selling our pepper. Them say that’s the only thing we are good at.” Another went on to say, “the boy is only dreaming,” and another said, “/he is full of himself and cannot recognize where and when to speak.”
There were others who thought his comments were well calculated and will lead Nigerians to find out more about Cameroonian music and why Stanley thinks Cameroon will soon take over African music charts.
