It’s Risen! Easter Sunday and the return of the denim cutoff shorts
Still confused on what to wear for Easter Sunday or the weekends after?
More than any other day, Easter Sunday manages to bring out boldness in the most fashion-shy of both men and women. But if you happen to be at the south side of the Sahara [Africa] then nothing screams perfect and comfy than a pair of denim cutoff shorts.
For so many years, the denim cutoff short has been regarded as retarded. A look you rock at home during chores or at the garage while fixing or washing your car. But lately they are making a come-back. They have risen!
Rihanna, Bonang Matheba and Tiwa Savage have all featured the denim cutoff shorts in their Instagram photoshoots this year and they are giving it the elegant life they truly deserve.
For them, it’s all about the season leading up to Easter Sunday – getting excited for the warm season, the cherry blossoms, the sunshine – it all reminds us all of Easter!
These famous ladies are the kind of girls who can rock denim cutoffs during the period we are glad Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead. Lol. Thrown on over a bathing suit or paired with a simple T-shirt, famous red and black check shirt or a lacy silhouette, these crazy shorts are the epitome of easy, casual cool.
RiRi, Queen B and Tiwa are rich, confident, sexy and famous women who can do whatever they like but who said a working mom in her thirties should feel inappropriate about pouring her bottom half into a pair of jean shorts? You should never think you are probably too old for them—right? However, booty shorts, Daisy Dukes, or anything resembling a hot pant, should be worn right or with enough confidence.
Apparently, the look can be achieved at any age as long as it’s done right. This means keeping those ‘areas’ covered by taking shape into consideration and leaving timidness at the minimum level. Although most looks are somewhat fashion-forward, it’s all about how you carry yourself. If you can wear a shorter cutoff with sophistication, fun and confidence, then all the power to you—no matter what your age or status!
Go for it!
