Cameroonians slam One Africa Music Festival 2018 over non-participation
Cameroonians are certainly not pleased with the One Africa Music Festival 2018 and that’s because they think the organization has zero love and recognition for French African artists.
Cameroonian music fans have slammed the One Africa Music Festival 2018 for perhaps, deliberately excluding Cameroonian and most French African artists from their list of performers at this year’s show in London come June 2.
Most of the fans are now saying that the organization have been completely focused on the music from countries like Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana and Kenya and are either ignorant about the unbelievable growth of the Cameroonian urban music or don’t think “we” deserve to participate.
Many are now referring to the One Africa Music Festival as the One Nigeria Music Festival thanks to the fact that Nigerian artists are dominant on their line up.
While the majority of fans are disgusted with the line-up for this year’s performance, calling on the creation of a new all-African music festival, some do think Cameroonian urban artists still need to do more in order to get their craft on international standard.
