Thank God for life!
Seven members of the Alpha Better Records crew have survived a fatal car crash on the Yaounde-Douala highway, June 23.
Salatiel, CEO of the popular record label, confirmed in an Instagram post June 24 that seven crew members were in the car which was hit by a reckless truck driver on that major highway.
“I Know my redeemer lives.
7 people came out of this wreckage alive with barely no injuries after a hit in the back by a reckless truck on High speed, on Douala Yaounde highway, car tumbles three times down this hill and yet everyone is safe and fine. Not even equipment in the boot was damaged. God of Miracles.”
One label member who was in the car at the time of the accident, dancer, Aline also made a video at the accident scene sayif just a few words.
News of the accident came only a few minutes after lead singer of the label, Mr. Leo was slammed online for a “poor appearance” at the ‘Ward Zee’ movie premiere in Buea (June 23). A statement from the label responded to his fashion critics explaining that the singer was only swinging by the premiere after his horrific trip from Yaounde and had no time to go home for change of clothes.
In the statement, the rep for the label also explained in details where the crew was coming from, what were they doing and how grateful they are to still be alive. Read below:
Yesterday Saturday 23rd June 2018 after a successful ‘World’s Music Day’ Celebration in Yaounde by Alpha Better Records headliners Salatiel and Mr. Leo at Palais des Sports, on return back to Buea the team met with an unfortunate event which has left the ‘Alpha Better Records’ traveling van in shambles.
As the team traveled back to Buea from the performance, few meters after Edea, the Van that carried Musicians and a dancer was hit by a truck which lost control.
Hitting them from behind, the truck caused the Van into somersaulting three times before landing. The accident thankfully recorded zero loss of lives and all the Musicians and Dancer have reported for medical checkup as ordered by label CEO Salatiel.
The Van is presently in a very bad state making the entire team to celebrate God’s Grace that protected those involved.
The entire Alpha Better Records team is grateful to all those who have been reaching out to express their sympathy. It was truly a Miracle and the Team is grateful to God for protecting all the saved lives.Signed
