Cameroonian singer, Gomez denies skin bleaching claims
Cameroonian singer, Gomez says he is not bleaching his skin like the rumour mill have it as and insists he is not a fan of people changing their skin color.
The singer recently dropped his new single and video, Beauté, under his new label, Lionn Productions in which he strongly praised the African woman, whom many believe is the natural woman who hasn’t bleached her skin.
But at the video release party of his new song in Buea, Gomez was accused of bleaching his own skin… an act which is contrary to what he’s singing in ‘Beaute’. Fans couldn’t help but notice the weird colors on his hands, very different from that of his entire body.
One fan wrote, “Hw do we call the colours on those finger? Bleach?” While another commented, “Congolese spirit dong di enter Camer guys dem too eh.” Another added, “Donc c’est le njansang??”
Gomez has responded to the bleaching skin allegations and he denies it all saying even though he respects people’s personal choices, he is not a fan of bleaching.
Gomez isn’t the first cameroonian celebrity to be slammed with bleaching skin rumors. Football superstars, Samuel Eto’o, Rigobert Song, rapper Askia, singer Mel B. Akwen and others have also gone down this very road.
