Move over black, white, red and blue, neon is now taking over the fashion world and there’s nothing we or anybody can do about it.
The color neon now goes with virtually everything in the fashion world and we’ve seen top celebs around the world rock this color like none other. From their hair/wigs, nails, lipstick to red carpet looks, neon dominates every other color and leaves you (the consumer) outstanding.
When styled right, you come out like a star that shines above the rest. When rocking the neon color, every other color turns nude. Its advisable to keep your makeup and other accessories subtle. Pink lips aren’t so bad on a neon outfit. After all, ‘Gossip Girl’ star, Blake Lively (seen above) was recently seen in New York City wearing pink lips over her neon Versace SS19 suit.
On her recent visit to Miami, US reality TV star, Kim Kardashian was spotted at several occasions rocking the color neon (yellow or green). From wearing a long neon colored wig to donning a serious cut out neon outfit, Kim K is desperately trying to set a neon trend towards the close of summer. But long before she did, other celebs in Hollywood had made it their favourite color.
Kim‘s younger sister, Kylie Jenner once made it the color of her hair and although she was only repeating what singer/actress Cassie had done, we loved it on her as well. Singer K. Michelle also used neon as the color of her wig in 2016. These three women made neon the new black and rocked the hell out it. They have inspired other women to do the same.
Celebrities who have taken the neon color to the red carpet have done it with so much grace, leaving many greening with envy. Scandal star, Kerry Washington looked radiant as she arrived at the 2011 BET Awards in neon dress. She making her dark hair and dark eye and subtle makeup her accessories was pure genius!
Far from the red carpet, the beach or poolside could come alive with a pop of neon! Bright colored swimsuits completely lighten up any beachside. A sexy lady in a neon bikini could leave her fellow ladies and most men jealous and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Speaking of pop of color, nothing as captivating as neon colored nails. For some reason, it brings light to a dark look and adds to the glam. It’s not only beautiful but also daring. Like they say, any woman who is daring is sexier. Same thing goes with rocking a neon lipstick. Daring! Edgy! Sexy!
The forthcoming dry season will certainly look brighter and more beautiful with a taste of neon in your wardrobes/closets. Don’t be too scared to dare yourself. Update your fashion statement with a serious pop of color. Neon is that color, try it too!
