Joshua Osih: SDF’s Presidential candidate releases his 24 point manifesto
We can’t help but to consider the Social Democratic Front (SDF) Presidential candidate, Joshua Osih as the rising celebrity figure in the upcoming October 7 presidential elections in Cameroon.
The popular politician is only one out of eight candidates vying for the presidency in this year’s elections. He has just released his 24 point manifesto ahead of his presidential campaign and Cameroonians are eager to know more.
Now, we are not too sure of his ability to go through will all these points if he becomes the next president but we are just here to dish out a few. You be the judge.
If he becomes president, Joshua Osih says:
1. He will move the capital of Cameroon from Yaounde, Central Region to another region of the country. According to him, power and decision making do not have to be centered in just one part of the country.
2. He will switch from a centralized system of government to a more decentralized system. In fact, he will go for 10-state federation.
3. He will close ENAM (Public school for administration and magistracy) because according to Osih, you don’t need to go to ENAM to have an appropriate training. He says he’ll create other government institutions to train professionals.
4. He will ensure a universal youth service whereby University graduates will serve the government for at least a year before been employed into the public or private service.
5. Provide free health services for children under the age of 2.
6. He will digitize the education system
7. He promises to double salaries for civil servants for over 5 years
8. He will fight for Cameroon to co-host the 2030 World Cup with another African country.
