Tiana Nabi: Discover Cameroon’s talented gospel music act
Tiana Nabi is a Cameroonian female gospel and inspirational music artist who has spent most of her years sharing the word of God through powerful lyrics both home and abroad.
Tiana Nabi has announced that she will be releasing her new song titled, ‘Yahweh’ on December 9, ahead of the world wide celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
However, here are some 7 other things you need to know about the always joyful and vibrant gospel singer.
- Tiana is originally from Kom in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. She presently resides in Bamenda where she teaches Language/Literature at the Government High School, Bamenda.
- The singer’s love for music dates back to the 90s when she started singing in a school choir. Music quickly became a passion and led her to record her debut official single, ‘How Could You Be’ in the early 2006, a song she co-wrote with one of Cameroon’s best music video directors, Adah Akenji. ‘How Could You Be’ never saw the light of day despite being a beautiful song. Shortly after, she did a series of other studio projects such as: ‘I Understand’, ‘Kurukuru”, Buddy It’s Over’, amongst others.
- In 2012, Tiana returned to the studio and recorded a song titled, ‘I know’ which featured Stryke P, now known as Pascal. Public reactions and fan love from that song led her into doing other musical projects such as, ‘Gimme love’ ft Zegeman in 2014, ‘Window Lover’ in 2017, ‘Over Everything’ in 2017 and the audio of ‘Yahweh’.
- Tiana can now boast of a strong vocal and stage presence as she has, over the years, dedicated time to branding her talent. She’s also worked on her relationship with top music producers like, DJ Pazzo aka Sangtum, Master Robooster, Blaise B aka Akwandor, Adah Akenji, Chuzih Herbert and others. Fast forward to 2018, Tiana says she is now ready to penetrate the market with her own genre which has been under development for such a long time.
- Tiana draws inspiration from great Cameroonian artistes such as Charlotte Dipanda, Ben Decca and C. Fotso. The Societal/Gospel artist adds that she would act movies if she wasn’t doing music.
- Tiana’s biggest challenges include marketing her music, meeting and working with trustworthy producers, penetrating the music industry and influencing the market with her music genre, gospel pop. The gospel act reveals that financial support is also a major set back but she’s grateful for the support she receives from family, friends, shows and her personal savings.
- Tiana now has a new project! Her new video with Adah Akenji, #Yahweh will drop December 9. The song is produced by talented producer, Akwandor. However, she also has a series of complete singles saved in her music bank just for you.
