Rapper Boy Tag belts touching tribute to late Grandmother in new song ‘Grandma’
The world could be celebrating International Labour’s Day today but Cameroonian rapper, Boy Tag is celebrating the life and lessons he got from his late grandmother in his latest song, ‘Grandma’.
Boy Tag (real name, Tongwa Njopmu Felganie Belta) has unveiled his latest release where he is paying a touching tribute to his deceased grandmother. The rapper is baring his heart and soul on the lyrics and it’s very emotional.
The Steven’s Music rapper goes all in. He even talks about how his grandma was more of a parent to him than his own father was. He also did make mention of his humble upbringing and goes as far as describing the home in which he grew up in.
Tag also takes his fans into his secret childhood past. The rapper shares his fears with his followers singing that, “I was my own bastard, Coz no one will pray for me. Na only you were there for me…”
The ‘Cent Pour Cent’ rapper dishes out praises on the woman he always called mother. He says she did everything just so he could have a normal life as a child. She would even beg and trek long distances so he could have food and laughter.
This is clearly the deepest Boy Tag has gone as far as his music is concerned. His grandmother truly mean the world to the lyrical genius . May her soul rest in peace.
