Bonteh Digital Media Awards 2019: Full List Of Winners

The Bonteh Digital Media Awards (BDMA) 2019 took place at the beautiful La Falaias Diamond hall in Douala last night (December 17) and here is the full list of winners below.

From the world of tech to that of digital marketing and communications, Cameroonian entrepreneurs were out, Tuesday night, to celebrate the power of phones, laptops, websites, blogs and the world of the internet at the #BDMA2019.

As many praised the initiative for recognizing the brains behind the tech and digital sectors in the country, they were also opened to discuss the mistakes made by many entertainers and internet users in the course of using – or abusing – social media.

“Many of us have abandoned the idea of converting posts, likes, shares and comments into cash. We only jump on a social media app for the fun of it, forgetting that it’s also a huge platform to make money and better our standard of living,” Prince Enobi – CEO, Clique Media Empire.

Our question was: “What are the mistakes made by our entertainers when it comes to the use of social media?” Bloggers, TecH heads, media personalities, musicians, film makers, fashion designers etc are very influential to our youths thanks to the messages and ideologies they stand by via their social media accounts. So, with such power and responsibility resting upon their shoulders, are they living up to expectation?

There were music performances from a range of artists including Wax Dey, Montess, Gima, One Touch, Salatiel and others.

Actor, Alenne Menget also gave out 100,000 fcfa to four different categories during the award show, explaining that, while it is good to take home trophies at award shows, it is also vital to give out cash prices alongside these trophies to better encourage as they put in more efforts on their diverse crafts.
