Mr Leo Leaves Alpha Better Records, Former label mates react
Mr Leo has confirmed his exit from his record label, Alpha Better Records and his former label mates are reacting differently to the news.
After months of speculation from both the media and fans, singer Mr Leo has now confirmed that his contract with Alpha Better Records has ended after 17 years and he’s now ready to fully focus on building in his own label, Lionn Productions.
The famous Afro R&B/Pop singer made the announcement on his social media handles on June 7, 2020 just two days after dropping his latest song/video, ‘Asabe’ but according to some fans, they are not surprised at all.

Mr Leo’s former boss and partner, Salatiel also sent out a statement on June 7, confirming the news and wishing his brother goodluck on his new career path. But not every former label mate had a “nice” reaction.
Blaise B, who dropped out of the label back in January, took to Twitter hours before Mr Leo’s public statement saying he celebrates his brother’s exit and revealed that, to him, Leo has only freed himself from “captivity”.

While some fans wish the former Alpha Better Records stars all the best as they further their different career goals, others are demanding answers to some pertinent issues surrounding to the future of the label as a whole.
questions like; What happens to their joint music catalogue? Who owns the studio after everyone is gone? Will the ex members continue to write songs together? Who retains the copyright to their work and so many more.
