AFRIMMA 2018 Winners: Daphne wins Best Female Artist Central Africa
Cameroonian singer, Daphne is the country’s biggest winner at the 5th Annual African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA 2018) held on Sunday, October 8 at Dallas-Texas, USA. See full list of winners below.
The beautiful singer came on top of her category trumping the likes of fellow Cameroonian singers, Blanche Bailly, Charlotte Dipanda and her label mate, Shura.

Daphne‘s win comes a year after Angolan singer, Nsoki defeated her in this same category at the AFRIMMA 2017 in Dallas. Well, it’s obvious that her big and successful singles in 2017/18 bagged her the trophy this year.
Daphne‘s big win once again renews her long-standing battle for supremacy in the female music scene in Cameroon.

However, other winners include, Fally Ipupa for ‘Artist of the Year,’ and ‘Best Male Central Africa,’ Davido for ‘Best Male West Africa’ artist, Nasty C for ‘Best Male South Africa,’ Wizkid for ‘Video of the year’ for ‘Soco’, while Yemi Alade took home the award for the ‘Best Female West Africa’ and Burna Boy walked away with the ‘Best African Dancehall/Reggae Act’ award.
