FIAFA 2017: Ngwane Liz condemns environmental pollution with debut collection
Young designer, Ngwane Liz made her debut at the Fredash International Annual Fashion Avenue (FIAFA) 2017 in Buea by merging her environmental science studies and her fashion designing skills to blow minds with a remarkable collection on the runway.
The University of Buea alum used raw and used materials such as plastic nylons, dry leaves, papers, plastic bottles and bags etc to craft some of the most memorable designs that night.
“I have been studying for long to see what the fashion and textile industries do… the type of impact they have. i came to understand that the textile industry uses a lot of chemicals in their fabrics and if littered could cause environmental pollution… My collection was all about creating an awareness that its good to start consuming organic products,” Nwane Liz tells us.
