Nabil “Nabstar” Fongod premieres his much-anticipated  short film, “This Is Africa TIA” during the just ended ArtCity Short Film Festival 2016 in Buea, Cameroon on October 7 and fans haven’t stopped talking.

The Hip Hop star cum movie actor and producer got the who’s who in the industry as well as the media onto his properly themed red carpet – elegance with a touch of Africa – to celebrate his conceptual film.

“The whole idea is to make us see Africa through music, film and fashion,” Nabil tells DCODED TV.

“This Is Africa TIA is a concept born from the fact that our continent has been portrayed internationally as a miserable environment tagged with poverty, suffering, illiteracy etc but this film is to tell the world that Africa is far better than what’s been told.”

Nabil goes on to add that coming back to Cameroon after eight years of living in Europe inspired his film as well his new ideas.

“I want to be a game changer… someone whom people look unto to change lives and my community and if using film, my music and what i wear are what I’ve to use then so be it,” he says.

#ThisIsAfricaTIA premiered in a grand style at the W Cinemas on October 7 with it’s guests respectfully dressed exceptionally to suit the theme of the African theme.
