In the spirit of the trend of surprise music releases, Magasco aka Dat Bamenda Boy has finally dropped his debut album, “Golden Boy” only few days  to the New Year’s Day celebration.

Magasco’s highly anticipated debut album GOLDEN BOY was released on December 29 in a grand ceremony at Yao Bar, Yaounde.

The Empire Company star calls this new piece of work, “special” and tells us why he named the album “Golden Boy”.

“Gold because the album is made up from a cultural background. It’s made of Hip Hop, RnB, Afro-Pop and Makossa.. In it you will find a lot of genres all mixed together,” Magasco explains.

“Gold is multicultural. Gold is also like a currency you can use anywhere in the world. So that’s how the album is… that’s how its supposed to sound… like the currency that can be used anywhere around the world,” he added.

“Golden Boy” is a 14-tracker album with all songs written by the ‘Bamenda Boy’ himself, Magasco. However, to help on the production, the singer sort the likes of his dearest friend, Sangtum (DJ Pazzo) as well as others.

“I had Roboster an upcoming producer who produced my new single, ‘Sokoto’. We also had a Cameroonian producer based in the USA called Willbeatz who did ‘Bella’. We also had one Togolese, The Dreamer who did one song featuring a Togolese girl called Senzaa and then you have Sangtum and ME,” Magasco tells us exclusively.

“Golden Boy” is a special work from Magasco and could define his music career for 2018!
