Makonjo Media, the  Silicon Mountain-based marketing and growth technology firm is thrilled to announce its partnership with Better Breed Cameroon to support the 4th edition of the Sama Randy Youth Write Contest for 2018.

What is Sama Randy Youth Write Contest ?

The Sama Randy Youth Write Contest (SRYWC) is an annual essay writing competition organized by the youth-led and youth-focused philanthropic organization, Better Breed Cameroon. Named in memory of pioneer Better Breed Cameroon member Sama Randy, this competition seeks to encourage youth engagement in national discourses.

This year’s competition challenges participants to ponder and constructively contribute to the discourse on socioeconomic and political issues of Cameroon. According to the organizers of the competition, Essays of any style and various themes are welcome, given that they fall within the 1000 to 1500-word limit and suitably end with the statement, ‘This is what Cameroon needs now.’

Makonjo Media is a digital growth & business representation agency owned by Makonjo Group Limited. Makonjo Media offers services that range from Web Design, App Development, Digital Advertising, Corporate ICT Training, Online PR and Website Content Writing/Translation Services.

How can you partake in the competition?

• Participants must be undergraduate students enrolled in any higher educational institution in Cameroon.
• All essay entries must be written in English and submitted via email as attachments to Better Breed Cameroon’s email address: betterbreed@gmail.com.
• The subject of the email should read: Sama Randy Youth Write Contest Submission 2018. Meanwhile, the email body should provide the candidate’s names, contact number, age, degree/diploma program and higher institution to which they belong.

What do you stand to gain as a winner?

Winners of this year’s contest stand to gain one of three cash prizes; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes of FCFA 75.000, 50.000, and 25.000 respectively; plus, a rare opportunity for the 1st Prize winner to work with Makonjo Media.

The deadline for submission has been set for the 28th of January 2018. Meanwhile, winners will be contacted three weeks later and awarded soon after.
