Miss Beach 2017 Audrey Monkam spills on future plans
Miss Beach 2017 winner Audrey Monkam is ready to wear the crown of beauty and hard work as she proceeds into her future.
In an exclusive interview with DCODED TV, the Niki Heat model reveals that being a beauty queen is not an easy job as it comes with many responsibilities but she’s happy to use her crown to impact her community especially the tourism sector of Cameroon.
“I’m very happy to have been elected Miss beach 2017. It’s an honour and a privilege to be an ambassador of this platform as it will help me represent our culture as well as tourism in Cameroon not forgetting the fact that I’d be able to impact our society positively by creating awareness on some of our society disabilities,” Audrey tells us.
Monkam says she has work to do and can’t wait to start doing what she promised herself to do should she win the Miss Beach 2017 crown.
“My plans as Miss Beach… I can’t wait to work on eradicating Ocean and sea (Marine) pollution with solutions like cleanup campaigns and provision of trashcans in vital areas, educating the public through seminars, workshops, forums on the dangers of littering our environment and beaches with thrash and plastics as this affects our health directly. I think I can realize these projects with the help of Ministry of Environment and Nature’s Protection, Sème Beach Hotel and companies like Hyssacam,” the Audrey model explains.
Monkam was crowned Miss Beach 2017 on May 27 after beating runner ups – Emily Lesley and Adama Ruth.
