Mützig Star 2017  music competition has crowned their winner – Vanessa Monjoa.

The young female contestant beat all five finalists to emerge winner of the reborn Mützig Star 2017 competition on December 14 in Douala.

Monjoa is a resident of Limbe who began her music career back in 2013 with the release of her debut single produced by Salatiel.

The young songstress is yet to react to her big win on Thursday night but has continuously received congratulatory messages on social media from her fans and friends across the country.

Monjoa went home with a cash prize of one million francs CFA, a brand new car, a year-long media promotional deal with Trace TV and her debut album to be produced by the award winning Alpha Better Records.

Mützig Star 2017 has existed for 27 years and has brought about some of the greatest singers in Cameroon’s music history including Belka Tobis, Longue Longue, Charlotte Dipanda, Prince Afo Akom, Dynastie le Tigre, Salatiel, Big Benji Mateke, Dany Muma, Stypak Samo, Zinnia, Martino Ngalle, One Face, Aaron B, Kimmanuel and many others.
