“Cameroon music is taking over Africa, No more beefs” – Salatiel speaks
Salatiel is no stranger to expressing his candid opinion about the Cameroon music industry and its musicians and to him, it should be all about making good and commanding music and not spend time beefing each other.
While addressing his recent concern about a blogger whom he claims spends time bringing musicians down, the famous singer and songwriter announced that Cameroon music is in a better place at the moment and is currently taking over Africa.
“Haters are the people who kill initiatives in Cameroon,” Salatiel told fans at Dr. Susan Aweh’s ‘Essay Contest Prize Awards’ at IYA, Buea (June 23).
“When you decide to be a person who take other people and put them in front it’s not because you can’t do the things they are doing. Sometimes you do it because you just want to put other people in front.
“We are doing Cameroon music and Cameroon music is taking over Africa and I want everybody to know that the only way we can progress is if we do it together. So stop all the beefing or sayings that this one is better than this one… We don’t need that in Cameroon. Let’s build each other,” the singer added.
Salatiel is the founder of Alpha Better Records which harbors talents like Mr. Leo, Askia and Blaise B. He’s also a phenomenal music composer responsible for major hits like “Toi et Moi” and Daphne’s “Calee“.
