Thierry Ntamack calls for reopening of cinemas in Cameroon
Thierry Ntamack has asked the government to reopen the long dead cinemas across Cameroon for the benefit of film promotion in the country.
The popular actor and producer made the call while receiving his award for “Best Actor” at the Canal D’or Awards in Yaounde on March 4.

Ntamack claims without cinemas, Cameroon film makers do not stand a chance of creating a healthy film-watching culture among Cameroonians.
“Let the Ministry of Arts and Culture please open or re-open cinemas which have been closed for so long in Cameroon. This is will certainly help in promoting our films in the country and help create the habit of people watching Cameroon-made films at the cinemas,” the actor told the audience during his acceptance speech.
Ntamack who is still basking in the euphoria of the success of his recently released 2016 movie, “La Partrie D’board” which he starred alongside Lucie Memba as the lead actress, also got the First Lady, Chantal Biya promise to watch his critically acclaimed movie by the end of this year.
