Tzy Panchak’s boss Marvin Slim pens open letter to Cameroon entertainment industry
Tzy Panchak‘s boss, Marvin Slim has a word… or two for the Cameroon entertainment industry and its stakeholders.
The Blu Nation Recording boss penned an open letter to those concerned in the industry on his Facebook wall few days ago. Marvin acknowledges the potential the industry has to make big business deals but also emphasizes on the need to work together to achieve such deals.
“The Cameroon entertainment industry has the potential to be the biggest and the most vibrant across Africa with its singular potential to sell to both the French and English market simultaneously. For this to happen we have to first of all understand the need to work together. We have to drop the animosity and collectively build this industry to meet competitive standards like what we see from our neighboring countries.
Our greatest challenge is to restore the presence of Cameroonian sound in the international market as it was in the 80’s and 90’s with Makossa and Bikutsi,” Marvin wrote.

The entertainment businessman further hinted on the ability for every hardworking entertainer to achieve success given their potential and also condemned negativity from both the media and entertainers, saying it hampers positive international recognition.
“Art and sports are the two greatest representations of a nation internationally. We are so scared to expand so we tend to fight one another. The market is so big and untapped we can all eat comfortably. Also, damning headlines attract momentary buzz but leave an unremovable stain on the career of a hard working act. What goes into the internet never goes away so we have to be cautious of our words and actions,”

Despite the reports which went viral online between his artist, Tzy Panchak and Alpha Better Records star, Blaise B, Marvin didn’t close without preaching reconciliation and team work.
“It’s unfortunate, the activities that have happened recently across our industry involving various parties. Parties are hurt across the aisle but we hope we can all find a point of reconciliation and move past these issues and grow together. The only way we can turn this industry into a real lucrative business is through a collective force. There can’t be a king with no kingdom. #WeAreOnePeople for the love of good music.”
Oh! he also called on fellow Cameroonians to buy and listen to Mr. Leo‘s debut album, “Love Original“.
“Mr. Leo – Love Original: Don’t do free listens make a purchase to support and encourage the Act. I got mine now go get yours. Big UP AlphaBeta for this classic piece,” he wrote.
