The Urban Jamz Awards 2017 has been dropped from this year’s event calendar but the list of winners has been announced…  on Facebook!

Valery Atia, founder of the awards, made the announcement on his Facebook page on October 21 blaming the cancellation on the lack of internet in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon.

“It will be unfair for some fans to vote while others do not have access to internet. This year’s winners will be decided solely by the jury… Thanks,” Atia’s statement read.

Urban Jamz Awards 2017 was previously scheduled for April but got postponed to November due to social unrest in the North West and South West Regions.

Here is the incomplete list of winners (7 out of 17 categories): 

Tenor (Best New Artist)

Minks (Next Rated Artist)

Salatiel (Best Video)

Daphne ft. Ben Decca (Best Collaboration)

Dr. Nkeng Stephens (Best Music Video Director)

Dijay Pazzo (Best Music Producer)

Bimstar (Best Showbiz Promoter)
