The Ankara pant is now the in-thing for every man with style. Men, both the old and young are now having a strong desire to own at least a pair in their closets and the question is why?

We spoke with two of Cameroon’s youngest fashion designers, Ngwane Liz of Margo’s Mode and Juliet Sparcs of JS Designs to ask about this continuous obsession on ankara pants by our gorgeous men.

Here are some of the reasons why every man should at least own a pair of Ankara pant in his closet.

1. Comfort

According to Juliet Sparcs, Ankara pants are 100 percent made of cotton which makes a guy’s skin feel very comfortable in it. The cotton fabric leaves the skin fresh and dry even under heat.

2. Style

Ankara pants are very fashionable, stylish and quite trendy. Men who love style will love a piece of the african print on them. These local fabrics add to the glam and if well-styled, they add to a man’s uniqueness and elegance. Ankara pants could be styled with shirts, T-shirts and sometimes, overall jackets and/or blazers.

3. Originality

Stylish men love to be exceptional  and unique and ankara pants provide just that. To most men, choosing these African prints sort of makes them embrace their heritage as an African men. It gives them an originality and identity envious to others.

4. Sexy

The ankara pants no doubt, are very attractive and the color patterns are so beautiful and traditional . Which man wants to miss out looking great in them? Almost none.  They give a man an edge which is so sexy and confident.

5. Affordable

Unlike designer wears, the Ankara pant is quite affordable. Depending on the quality of fabric, every man can get one.
