CAMIFF Awards 2017: Full list of winners
The Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF) 2017 has come to an end but not without recognizing notable film makers who did incredible jobs via films in the year 2016/17.
The CAMIFF Award Show, which held at the Mountain Hotel in Buea on April 29, was graced by the honorable Minister of Arts and Culture, Jean Narcisse Mouelle Kombi; who was accompanied by the Governor for South West Region, the District Officer for Buea, South West Provincial delegate for Arts and Culture and many other dignitaries.
The ceremony also hosted some of the biggest names in film from in and out of Cameroon including countries like Nigeria, India, DRC, Israel, UK and the USA.
Here is the full list of winners:
Best Cameroonian Film – “Kiss of Death” (Cameroon)
Best Documentary Film – “Africa” (Israel)
Best Short Film – “Enemy of Time” (DRC)
Best Actress – Laura Onyama (Kiss of Death)
Best Actor – Thierry Ntamack (La Partrie D’Abord)
Best Director – George Tilla
Best Film – “Overnight Flight”
Lifetime Achievement Award – Tangyie Peter Suh-Nfor
Honorary Award for Excellence – Shang Gladys Viben and Robertor Kwi Ros
