Cameroonian celebrities say No To Nudes at Chill and Talk event in Buea
Some Cameroonian stakeholders are lending their voices to say “No To Nudes” on social media at the Chill & Talk event billed for June 17 at the Buea Council Hall.
Celebrities such as Anyi Asonganyi, Miss Beach 2017, Audrey Monkam, will be joined by Nigerian actress Matilda Obaseki and other doctors and lawyers to raise awareness on the fight to stop the publishing of nude videos and Sex tapes online by young people.
The “Chill & Talk” event was called for after the recent and frequent leaks of nude videos of young girls/boys on social media. Case study being the Epie Ntoko case in Kumba where a guy records himself sexually molesting a young girl over a 2, 500frs debt and the leak of a Sex tape featuring a socialite in Buea.
“It’s really disheartening to see what young people are capable of doing just for the fun of it or for the love of money, ” Prince Enobi, one of the organizers of the Chill and Talk event tells us.
“This event is to raise awareness on the consequences of such wicked actions. It’s also to help educate young people, especially girls on what’s private and what should be made public… Your sexual life is for you alone and you need to be careful whom you interact with. All in all, young girls need to start valuing themselves more, ” he adds.
The Chill and Talk event is scheduled to hold at the Buea Council Hall, on June 17 at 10:00 am.
