When it comes to rainy season makeup, there are various ways to playing up your features. Wondering what to do? Anyi Asonganyi, Founder and CEO of OZI International is here to help with her 5 essential makeup tips for the rainy dull season. Enjoy!
Waterproof Mascara & Eyeliner
Waterproof eyeliner and mascara please! You don’t want to have one of those movie scene black-tear running moments. Be sure your mascara and eyeliner are clearly labelled “waterproof”.
Waterproof Foundation
Like everything else, the foundation determines the outcome. Be sure to have a good quality waterproof foundation (or tinted moisturizer). You don’t want that foundation running down your face with the raindrops I guess.
Primer
A good primer will help your makeup stay longer and prevent it from melting off. So when the clouds go dark, be sure to prime up before showing up.
Cream Blush
Some of us cannot do without a sexy tint of blush. The rains will wash away the powders, but hey, the creams got you! A cream blush (or eye-shadow) will stick on all day. Now that’s cool tip.
Matte Lipsticks
Most cream lipsticks and glosses do freeze up or clog when exposed to cold or water (with exceptions, some are really long lasting). In the rainy season, opt for matte lipsticks. With this matte trend going on, quality is key! Some wash away like chalk while it takes some effort to wipe off others. Be sure to use only the best quality lipsticks this season. Be safe!
