Adah Akenji shows love to Muslim women with new song “Alima”

Adah Akenji is making a serious music comeback and his latest song/video – Alima – is dedicated to Muslim women! Here’s why the video director and artist decided to give a loving tribute to a group of women whom many artists turn to forget about.

If Lady Gaga could dedicate a song to Judas Iscariot, why can’t Adah Akenji do the same for our Muslim sisters, wives, nieces and friends?

The music power house returns with this love banger! “Alima” comes in as a follow up single to Adah’s  “Na Na Na” produced by Drae Boii.

Alima” is a soothing and charming deep lyrical delivery by the Yaounde-based singer for the sole purpose of sharing love to a partner or anyone you love and care about.

“Alima is a name from the North and yes, the girl i used in the video plays a Northern Muslim lady,” Adah Akenji tells us in an exclusive interview, August 1.

“This song is my tribute to our beautiful women in the North and most especially the Muslim ladies. I believe all women merit appreciation and admiration irrespective of their faith,” the singer added.

Adah may not have fully experienced a Muslim woman not treated fairly or lovingly because of her faith, but explains that,

“I feel connected to the predicament of Muslim women around the world today. There’s a silent war to criminalize Muslims and I find this very unfair… especially in a world where people are no longer considered just people.”

The singer didn’t get the chance to respond to our last question if he will consider marrying a pretty Muslin woman.
