Blanche Bailly’s baby drama: Who got hurt?

Congratulations once again to singer Blanche Bailly on the birth of her sweet baby boy, Jayden, but why is her son’s arrival affecting other people’s projects and careers?

Blanche Bailly welcomed her son on July 27, 2020 but posted the first picture of him on her Instagram on August 1 with the caption, “Stepping into my birthday month with a new status update, #mamajayden.”

The Afro Pop star received nothing short of love and congratulatory messages from all her friends, family and fans across the globe. However, while she celebrated motherhood, music projects like the visuals of Salatel‘s international collaboration with Beyonce and Pharrell Williams, “Water” almost suffered a setback in Cameroon.

Salatiel‘s ‘Water’ collaboration dropped July 31 night in the USA (which was August 1 morning in Cameroon) and fans got completely confused on who to pour their full attention to: baby Jayden or Water video?

Blanche Bailly‘s public reveal of her son dominated media headlines the entire day. Every media outlet was excited to have the story of the arrival of Blanche’s celebrity son on their platforms while continue to struggle to uncover the mystery about the child’s biological father.

That same day, gossip blogger, Esaw Dillis announced that baby Jayden’s father had been found; it was none other than the Water hit maker, Salatiel! What a shocker! We need not explain further how that announcement hijacked the entire social media space and completely evaporated Salatiel‘s #Water off the industry.

What just happened!!?? Fans and media were both caught in a dilemma and could barely remember to offer the Alpha Better Records boss some some water (fresh or chilled) to help calm down the situation. Of course he never (and has never) responded to those rumors. Instead, he was seen struggling to counter the news with social media posts about his collabo and upcoming album, ‘Africa Represented’…. as he should. But that didn’t work, at least not on August 1.

So, while other African countries massively and unanimously celebrated their stars who made the cut on Beyonce’s ‘Black Is King’ visual art album, Cameroonians in Cameroon spent the day debating if Salatiel was or wasn’t the biological father of Blanche Bailly’s son. Whew!

Another huge music project which took the hit after Baby Jaden news broke on the internet is Cameroon’s sweetheart, Kameni‘s EP release.

The singer and label had been announcing the coming of her debut EP, ‘Love and Hustle’, which dropped July 31 in a start studded event in Douala. The reign of this EP on tabloids couldn’t last for so long as fans still battled with the [alleged] truth about the connection between baby Jayden, Salatiel and Blanche Bailly.

Truth be told, some people don’t even know that the ‘Love and Hustle’ EP by Kameni has since been released in July. Others can’t remember if it did and to some, they don’t just care if it did. (Buy HERE)

Of course fans and media have the right to like what they want to like and follow up on any stories they want to but we shouldn’t lose sight of what is really important for the growth of our entertainment industry.

We all should please rally behind Salatiel, Kameni, Coolkid as they pursue music while keeping an eye on little Jayden and how he grows up before our very own eyes.
