Frank Sire is no stranger to expressing his candid opinion when need be and now, he’s calling for a radical change to sweep through the Cameroon film industry should they need growth and maturity.

In his interview with Team 237 Magazine, the actor and movie director insists that the Cameroon film industry lacks what it takes to compete with other already existing film industries.

Sire sights the lack of media exposure on film production and celebrity lifestyles, inadequate financing for production and marketing of local films by the government and private sector but most of all, the actor says the industry badly needs quality talents.

“The industry doesn’t have enough talent though they think they do,” Sire tells the mag. “Few actors think they are demigods but they are old school film producers stuck in the past who are not flexible to changes. They are imitating and redoing Nollywood movies without knowing,” he went on.

For change to happen and happen fast, the screen hunk advice that film industry needs new faces and hands on board.

“The industry needs young radical film makers with new ideas, ready to take risks. The already existing film makers need to work together and support each other,” he says.

Frank Sire has been tipped for a lead role in a new TV series produced by the delectable Brenda Elung and he could be working alongside Nollywood comic superstar, Bishop Imoh and Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari.
