Margo’s Mode, one of Cameroon’s leading fashion brands was at the 2019 African Fashion Festival Helsinki held on September 28.
“Taking made-in-Cameroon fashion, Margo’s Mode, international,” Don Jude, the brand’s ambassador in Europe wrote on Facebook.”I will be representing MM at the African Fashion Festival Helsinki… Let’s show what Africa can offer in the world of fashion in Finland,” he added.
International models strut the runway at the #AFFH2019 with two extraordinary collections by Margo’s Mode; ‘Heritage’ and ‘Pin Me‘. Both works have been described by the founding CEO as phenomenal yet, personal.
“Pin Me while I embrace my Heritage,” is how Ngwane Liz, CEO of Margo’s Mode described her craft at the #AFFH2019. She went on to say, “It was an honour to showcase our [Cameroonian] story, culture and heritage on a huge foreign runway as the AFFH. Both my collections are very personal but they are simply arts dedicated to clothing. I want people to be themselves and be bold in Margo’s Mode designs and I am sure the audience felt it in that room.”
Margo’s Mode is responsible for some of the greatest red carpet looks in the country but the creative director says she is ready to explore other ventures; like taking her brand on top fashion runways around the world. She also hopes to dress some of the biggest models and celebrities in the world.
“I have something fresh, brave and unique and believe those within and out of Cameroon will love to explore that creativity and discover Cameroon fashion through us,” she tells us exclusively.
