CAMIFF 2017 raises millions at nomination party

The Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF) 2017 is already looking promising as stars and corporate businesses have not only pledged their support for the April event but have also opened their wallets and pockets to make sure the show goes on smoothly.

Nollywood superstar, Ramsey Nouah Jr., Solange Yikija, Lucie Memba, Nchifor Valery, Nsang Dilong, Soli Egbe, Frank Sire and Ruth Nkweti joined forces in Buea Saturday night (February 18) for the nomination party/fundraiser, hosted by CAMIFF under the patronage of the Nigerian Consulate, US Embassy and the Provincial Delegation of Arts and Culture during the festival’s second edition.

From the Nigerian Consulate, Media Afrique boss, Boni Dashaco to the famous Barrister Paul Jing and others, over 2 million francs CFA was raised to support the drive towards promoting and supporting the distribution of Cameroon films and film makers both nationally and internationally.

The money raised during the event reaffirmed the overwhelming success of this initiative for its second successive year and its gratitude for the support and promotion of Cameroon film across the continent.
