Celebrity Chef beaten, humiliated by police in Buea

Police now has the right to choose whether to be your friend or not! Well, ask popular celebrity chef, Ali Balla about it!

The Marayz Restaurant key chef took to his Facebook account Wednesday morning, November 23, to recount his recent run-in with a francophone police officer in Buea last night.

“Last night we got beaten by our own very Cameroon army for no reason. They ask our identification and we presented them with one, they still humiliated us and beat us to the ground rit in front of the restaurant trying to get a taxi home. Cameroon oboso.” Ali wrote.

Chef Ali later posted pictures as evidence from the assault he got from the officer on his wall, adding that:

“He [officer] asked me in french if I speak French and probably because I stayed quiet, he then started slapping us and kicking us to the ground …….In Buea …I must speak French to get by!!!”

*FYI

Buea is an English-speaking town in the South West Region of Cameroon.  So why was he beaten again?
