Style Guide with Divine Polyvalant: How a suit should fit perfectly on a man

Every man should own a pair of suit in his closet, says style beast, Divine Polyvalant!

After blessing X-Maleya, the most successful music group in Cameroon with their most attractive album cover (Cardio), stylist, model and businessman, Divine Polyvant is the name on everybody’s lips. Especially for men who want to dress just like him.
Today, the style enthusiast is sharing his tips on suits and how a it should fit on a man perfectly. But first, why do men need suits? “Because it’s classic and brings out the elegance in you. Suits give you that bossy feeling and there is this saying that as a man thinks so is he. Wear a suit to suit your thoughts,” Divine explains.
So back to suits and how they should fit, he says “Don’t just wear it, wear it right”.
Here are his tips:
1. When you try on a suit, you’re looking for a good fit in what’s called your “natural stance.”
That means standing up straight, preferably in the kind of dress shoes you’ll be wearing with your suits.
2.  A well-fitted shoulder lies flat. The seam on top of the shoulder should be the same length as the bone under it. It should meet the sleeve of the suit right where your arm meets your shoulder.
3. The “break” is the small wrinkle caused when the top of your shoe stops your trouser cuff from falling to its full length.
4.  About half an inch of the shirt cuff should be visible beyond the jacket cuff. And also your jacket collar should rest against your shirt collar, which in turn should rest against the back of your neck.
