1. How long have you been working on this project?

I’ve been thinking on something to empower Cameroonian women since 2015 then I just thought about an online magazine earlier this year(2017).  I had to get a reliable team and start getting content and all. Months later, the first issue dropped!

2. Why name it Sa Majesté?

Sa Majesté is actually my nickname or alter ego I’ll say lol. I was thinking of what to name the magazine then it dawned on me “Sa Majesté” would be perfect since every woman is a Queen, thus Royalty. And “Sa Majesté” means Her Majesty. Perfect!

3. How did you select your first cover girl and why?

Sa Majesté Magazine is all about Women Empowerment and how to inspire young Cameroonian girls. So, I had to think deep about this. It had to be someone who represents it well. I had to start with Kibonen Nfi, Founder of Kibonen NY fashion brand. She embodies all that so well.

4. What is the magazine all about?

Sa Majesté Magazine is designed to empower and recognize Cameroonians; especially Cameroonian women around the world to help them follow their dreams and believe they can do it too.

5. How would an online mag be sustained in Cameroon given her constant and poor internet network?

The internet instability was one of the MAIN reasons we kept pushing the magazine’s release date. I wanted the young women in the North West & South West regions of the country to read this first issue so bad because most of us can relate to Kibonen somehow. Unfortunately, it will only be available online. But so many people have been asking how to get hard copies and I will be making prints based on requests for now. I hope I can reach out to everyone.
