Former XLM Squad member Daniel Lyonga is making a powerful comeback!

The Douala-born singer has launched his solo career and is now signed with Calabash Music and Sony/ATV International.

Lyonga, a former member of the then popular boy band, XLM Squad, won his first Canal D’or Awards back in 2004 for Best Hip Hop/RnB  Group but since went solo when the band fell apart few years later. He now runs his own production company called Double D’s Production and goes by his stage name, Dboy.

Dboy is known for his incredible voice and songwriting ability. He has reportedly penned hit songs for some of South Africa’s big music names such as the sultry diva Kelly Khumalo, 2Fresh, Dr.Victor and Jamali and has graced the stage with rappers like HHP,  Passi, Lebo Mathosa, Neg Marron, Lynnsha and others.

Dboy’s first single “Mami Nyanga” under his new label, Calabash Music has been released and it marks his return back to the local music scene in Cameroon.
