Magasco might be a phenomenal Afro pop star but when it comes to his hair, he’s all about illusion.

The Empire Company starboy made a drastic hair change this March, trading his dark short hair for a bright blonde new hairdo. But turns out the change-up wasn’t just a spur of the moment as many of us thought.

“I love trying different things on my hair,” the singer tells us exclusively, “Well, #goldenboy,” he adds.

The hashtag he is referring to is his latest album, ‘Golden Boy‘ which he dropped on December 29 in a grand ceremony at Yao Bar, Yaounde.

“Gold because the album is made up from a cultural background. It’s made of Hip Hop, RnB, Afro-Pop and Makossa.. In it you will find a lot of genres all mixed together,” Magasco explains.

“Gold is multicultural. Gold is also like a currency you can use anywhere in the world. So that’s how the album is… that’s how its supposed to sound… like the currency that can be used anywhere around the world,” he adds.

So how significant is this special ‘Golden Boy’ album is to his new hairdo!? Magasco explains to us that his new blonde hair has everything to do with his album and how he has decided to personally promote it.

“I will use all the different gold colors [on my hair] this year,” he tells us.

Well, before you get too attached to his bright blonde hair, the star says it may only last a few weeks to a month. So be ready to see a hair transformation Magasco throughout 2018 as he moves from one region and stage to another promoting his ‘Golden Boy’ album.
