Cameroon Makossa music icon, Nguea LaRoute is no more and stars like Stanley Enow are reacting to her demise.

The iconic Makossa singer passed away on June 14, 2020 after battling with diabetes which resulted in her both legs been amputated.

Nguea LaRoute aka Mama Nguea contributed enormously to the growth and promotion of the music industry in Cameroon. She did not only bless the industry with multiple hit songs but performed those hits in different countries across Africa and the rest of the world.

Mama Nguea once lived a life of a music superstar but that wasn’t the case towards the end of her life. The singer revealed she suffered from Diabetes in a video posted on social media back in August 2019 and solicited for help from anyone, everyone in order to get back on her feet.

Unfortunately, she passed 10 months after, with both her legs amputated and severe loss of weight. However, the Makossa singer didn’t go down without a fight. Despite fighting for her life, the singer was still spotted at several occasions performing some of her hit songs at events in Douala.

Hip Hop star, Stanley Enow has reacted to the death of the Makossa music star. In a tweet on June 14, the ‘My Way’ hit maker says he blames the powers that be for Mama Nguea’s death but also emphasises on the fact that Mama Nguea’s life should be a lesson to himself and other young artists.

The award winner also touched on his relationship with long time music rival, Jovi le Monstre insisting that he never started their beef but has been and is still very open to do business with the New Bell Music founder.
