Cameroon has, over the last few years, been able to produce professional models from several modeling agencies and runway competitions that it could be tough when deciding on which of them will represent the Green-Red-Yellow flag at the prestigious event in Calabar Nigeria in December 2019.
Dorcas Kasinde from Congo wore the crown in 2018 after taking down four other queens – from Zambia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Ghana. She took home $35,000 and a brand new Ford SUV. This year, the winning price has been lifted to $50,000.
Adama Bazile and Merithe Atah from Niki Heat Modeling Agency couldn’t win the competition but confirm that their experience at the Miss Africa Pageant has boost their personalities and CVs as professional models.
They tell us it was a wonderful time at the beautiful city of Calabar and meeting and learning from different queens from other parts of Africa was overwhelming. Today, they have new friends, new opportunities and good reasons to travel and experience the continent better.
