After her big win at this year’s AFRIMA in Lagos, Nigeria, November 12, as “Best Female Artist Central Africa,”  the singer received  some serious backlash on social media … with some claiming she didn’t deserve the award. There were others who thought she wasn’t popular enough or didn’t have the best song/video to win the trophy.

However, she got love from a fellow nominee, Mimie who posted an Instagram video of her singing and dancing to Montess‘ winning song a day after the award show. Other celebrities including, music director Mista Adrenaline, singers, Steveslil and Dianee from Ryhtmz, popular bloggers Bonteh Englebert, Valery Atia, Joan Ngomba, Gina Efeti and many others  have continued to pour congratulatory messages to the singer.

Well, despite the “hate”, the “Love Witta A Gun Man” hit maker has remain silent on social media. But on Tuesday November 14, she took to her Twitter to appreciate the fans who voted for her and those who have stood by her over the years, including her mentor, Hip Hop superstar, Stanley Enow.
