Mützig Star 2017 comes under heavy criticism over Vanessa Monjoa’s winning prize and singer Ambe is now questioning the relevance of the music show and its worth to young and aspiring artists.
The popular music talent hunt show crowned its winner, Monjoa Vanessa in a heated finals in Douala on December 14 but her winning prize has gotten fans questioning the credibility of the show. The organizers have been slammed for rewarding its winner with less than what fans had expected.
Monjoa went home with a cash prize of one million francs CFA, a brand new car, a one year-long media promotion on Trace TV, a video with Dr. Nkeng Stephens and her debut album to be produced by the award winning Alpha Better Records.
However, singer, Ambe thinks the winner isn’t getting what she truly deserves. The “Vitess” hit maker took to Facebook, December 15 to congratulate the winner but claims Monjoa is worth more than one million francs.
Music producer and one of the Mutzig Star 2017 judges, Salatiel disagrees. To him, the organizers did what is best at the time and says Ambe is not showing enough support to the young winner.
