New Entertainers are blind to the power of Networking and Volunteerism

Just like in every other sector, the entertainment industry also has its own challenges. But how do we at the very least, limit these challenges to the minimum, with the abundant talents we have or own?

Though the entertainment industry is specific, volunteering and networking still remain universal keys to forging forward in show business, especially in this 21st century world.

As a young or upcoming entertainer, realise that you’re never going to be the first. There are others already ahead of you and already succeeding. So how about walking up to them to volunteer to be a part of their teams and work for them for free in order to learn?

With no financial benefits, powerful recommendations from mentors are most important to open future doors. Besides, even in the process of volunteering for them you gain experience, mentorship, references and most especially, you get to meet and create RELATIONSHIPS with people who can be beneficial to your career in one way or the other someday. THAT’S STRATEGIC, SMART AND PRICELESS.

Be ready to walk up to established entertainers and event organisers to propose to be a part of their upcoming events for FREE… despite being the better talent. Your interest is to get your name out there/create and grow a following/fan base. Nothing is free in this world. You must be ready to pay the price for those great dreams you have.

Create and maintain good relationships with bloggers and promoters: THEY CONTROL  and have the keys to THE 21ST CENTURY SOCIAL MEDIA WORLD whether you like it or not and can always promote and recommend you and your works to both event organisers and potential fans. These people can as well damage your image and fan base. It’s in your own best interest to always ensure you’re in good terms with them as much as possible.

BE SHARP and SMART! Look for strategies to become more popular, that’s also another easy way to grow a following/audience/fan base. How about creating and running a blog or becoming a part of an already established blog?

DREAMING OF THE TOP IS FREE BUT TO GET THERE YOU NEED LADDERS ONLY RELATIONSHIPS CAN PROVIDE. DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO BUILD THOSE RELATIONSHIPS.
