Cameroonian UK-based musician, Mimi Baya is coming to her man’s defense claiming popular comedian, Oboy Da Comic is not an opportunist as the rumours have it!

The ‘Simple’ singer is clearing the air on her relationship with Oboy (real name, Ferdinal Forka) saying they began dating way before becoming work partners and Oboy only became part of her work force when he found something lacking in her team.

The couple, who welcomed a set of twins early June only confirmed their secret love affaire back in December when the comedian wished the singer a happy birthday calling her his “soulmate”.

In her latest Facebook post (June 17), the fast rising singer claims she’s been called by many people who are asking about her love life. She claims that while some tell her that her baby daddy has been cheating on her with other women (while she’s nursing their twins in the UK), others advise her to leave the comedian on the bases that he’s only after her money and status. But the singer is setting the records straight, calling it BS!

“[I] travelled back home and got to meet Ferdinal Forka [Oboy da Comic]. Got into a relationship with him and I didn’t name the relationship. Each time he brought it up, I fly away from the chat.

Within that time, no one was in any ones business. I never cared if he spoke to other girls and vice versa. When we finally defined what we were in, we settled on what we both wanted. Spoke about what we did in the past and laughed about it. 
He noticed I was working without a PR [public relations officer] and decided to step in to do the job which the whole team was ok with. So please, we started dating before we became work partners. And when he did his job, he kept feelings aside and brought me to order when he had to.”
