PC Divine makes a powerful comeback to music after 10 years

It’s usually said that once a star, you remain a star and that’s what the iconic singer, PC Divine is doing right about now.

For those who may not know who he is, PC Divine was the first and only hip-hop artist signed by the biggest African music label, JPS production, working alongside music superstars like Awilo Longomba, Werrason and Lukua Kanza. He ruled the music scene from the years 1995 to 2006 as an MC, DJ and a radio personality.

Now, almost a 10-year break in Europe, USA and Australia, Divine is heading back into the music scene with a perfect fusion of Hip Hop and Makossa – something he did back in the day when no one could understand the sound.
With hits like ‘Neni Lambo’ (cover) and ‘Ashawoe’, Divine was the man. He also accompanied the late Bebe Manga on a remix of her international hit, “Amio”.
“I also paved the way and contributed to what we call the urban music in Cameroon today. Happy to see the growth of urban music gaining power in Cameroon, a culture and movement I fought hard and defended,” he said in a statement on February 7.
