Cameroonian rapper, Qilla proposes to girlfriend and female MC, Askia while on stage at Bamboo Bar in Limbe, March 17.

The year 2019 is looking like Askia‘s year and we won’t be wrong. The former Alpha Better Records signee has not only made a complete 360 turn from her alleged ‘rugged’ lifestyle, she returned to her christian roots and even got baptized in January before dropping some of the dopest tracks in her music career including ‘Let’s Talk‘.

While at the video release party of her latest song, ‘Let’s Talk’ in Limbe, Sunday night, Askia was surprised by her rapper boyfriend, Qilla who cut short her speech to drop down on one knee.

The proposal happened live at the popular Bamboo Bar [Limbe] in front of friends, family and fans while the Ma Valuer’ rapper was trying to speak with the crowd.

Askia reacted like most ladies would – and we are so pleased that her soon-to-be husband demanded she sits on a chair before he did his magic.

The proposal was caught on camera by many fans at the concert, but we are still to get a better look at the ring on Askia’s Instagram (hopefully, she posts it soon!)

Fans of the rapper have fallen deeper in love with her since her conversion from an alleged drug addiction to finding her ways again. Askia has repeated reminded fans of her struggle to stay relevant and less pressured from the society and the music industry. She has also spoken openly about her past with heartbreaks in relationships and how it has led her to speak up for women  struggling with love and relationships as well as low self esteem.

Askia engaged to boyfriend Qilla

Well, looks like the rapper has found her perfect man. Askia went public with her boo late 2018 after confirming her exit from her former record label. She has since been seen with her fiance on social media posts and he has unselfishly stood by his lady through her difficult times.

Congratulations are in order!
