The female winner of this year’s Mount Cameroon Race of Hope, Lizette Ngalim can’t help but sing praises to “Queen of the Mountain”, Sarah Liengu Etonge.

The North West native had nothing but words of love and encouragement for the 7-times winner of the race when asked what she felt about Sarah Etonge.

“Our mother really encouraged us all before we went for the race that morning,” Lizette Ngalim told Cameroon Radio and Television reporters in Buea, “She gathered us before the race began just to give us clues on how to get to the finish line,” she added.

Lizette came in as the first female at the finish line this year but claims she couldn’t have done it without the support of Sarah Etonge.

“She told all of us women who were running that ‘go, I’m behind you. I am happy for you all’. She’s just adorable,” Lizette said.

“She’s really a loving mother because if she was some body else she wouldn’t have gathered us to encourage us before we left for the race. I’m really inspired by her,” she added.

Lizette Ngalim walked home with 10 million CFA Francs.
